You are going to have a nice scope by the look of your photos. What kind of paint did you use on the pier? Do you have a line on where replacment parts can be found? I would like to replace the shaft of my 10" f5 with stainless as well.

: I recently aquired an old 8 inch f16 Cave. I am thrilled to have this scope at my house at last. I have known of this scope and I have watched it sit and collect dust and rust for many years. I have created a webpage with pictures of my cleaning and restoration. Please feel free to visit and I would welcome any tips. The only mirror identifier I can find is "#7" written on the back with a pencil.
