I have recently purchased A Cave 10" f5 Astrola with the Cave pier and equatorial mount. This is my first serious telescope and I am just loving the views from my home south of Chilliwack B.C. I have had an interest in Astronomy for many years but since the purchase of this scope I am now hooked. The mirror is origional and needs some light cleaning and I would like some advise on this. I am planning on refurbishing this scope cosmeticaly even though it is totaly functional. I am in need of a ring to adapt my focus tube to use a 2" eyepiece. Can anyone tell me where I could find this. The 1.25 ring that is on it has a female thread. It would be great to modify or replace this unit with an electric focuser, (Any suggestions?) Finaly what eyepieces are the BEST for this scope? I have purchased a 7mm Nagler which is fantastic but I am interested in some quality widefield eyepieces (Maybe a 17mm t4?) Any and all comments and advice appreciated.
