Hi all,
Does anyone know what size gears are on the typical cave 6" F8? I have this scope and mount and am not sure what size the gears are. The appears to be the same size on both RA and DEC. The Dec just has the worm and Gear on it, no motor. The RA has a 1 rpm AC motor with a small spur gear that Rides against a larger spear gear which in turn rotates the worm.
My question is, what is the size the worm and Gear, number of teeth, and pitch that came with the standard cave mounting?
Does anyone know?
Is there an easy way for me to figure this out?(counting them, etc.)
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I plan on automating this scope via bartels system.
I will dedicate part of my website towards my cave reflector project as soon a s I'm done with the modification.
