Proud new owner

Hello Cave Enthousiast!!!

My name is Gaetan Cormier and I'm a proud new owner of a Cave Astrola Telescope. The scope is an 8" f/4.5 on a Model B mount (motor driven).

The mirror is inscribe on the side here what it says:
Cave Optical Co.
M-772957-f/4.5-36 1/8" Aug-30-1977

Now my question is... I know that Cave made high quality mirrors, some people say that they were the Zambuto of the 70's... do some of you have ever put a Cave mirror under the foucoult tester? If yes, what results did you get in PV?

This scope that was donated to me (yes you heard me right, donated... I can't still beleive it!!!) will need some refurbishing. I will in a couple of days, make a web page about this scope with photos.

Any informations that could be usefull will be more than appreciated. Now all I need is a clear night, to have my first light with my new baby.
