Mine is still in the crate since June. I still have a few things to to. I want to move the focuser further up the tube. I bought a low profile focuser for this. I also have to extend the tube. It is killing me that I can't use it yet. I just have to be patient. I have to satisfy myself with my RV-6 Dynascope. I had it out viewing Saturn the past two nights. Where I live in south Louisiana I am surrounded by marsh and water all around. This makes for steady seeing when I can see the sky. Cassini's Division looked like it was drawn with a magic marker clear and black. The south pole was dusky looking but it was hard to see and an equatorial band was also present and also hard to make out. I also saw and identified 4 of Saturn's moons. Saturn itself looked yellowish- green in contrast to the yellow-white rings. It was also easy to see that the outer ring was not as bright as the middle one. I just can't help thinking how the 12.5" with its improved eye would make it look.
As soon as I have everything ready I will let the group know.

Lawrence
