Park is located halfway between Omaha and Lincoln off of I-80 at exit
426. An annual state park pass
or day permit is required to enter
the
park.
Star parties are
held at the golf driving
range beginning after sunset. Have a

Behlen
Observatory Public Nights

Behlen Observatory is located just to the west of Omaha south of Mead
(visit the observatory website below for detailed directions).
Operated by the University of Nebraska, it houses the largest
telescope in the state. At the observatory's public
nights, visitors get a first hand opportunity to look through the 30"
telescope as well as those of amateurs setup outside the observatory,
in addition to hearing from an informative speaker... all free of
charge!
